Hong Kong City Box Cup will be held in January

The Hong Kong City Box Cup will be held in January which will be the first Asian event in the international boxing map in 2017. The competition will be the third edition which will be held for the elite, youth and junior boxers and for both genders in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Boxing Association gave chance for the region’s best boxers to raise their experiences in the competition. This is a new event in the Asian boxing map which will be hosting by the Hong Kong Boxing Association only the third time after launching the competition two years ago in 2015.
Host of the competition Hong Kong could not get any gold medals on home soil in the last edition of the event in 2016 but their boxers could raise their international experiences. China bagged ten gold medals in the Hong Kong City Cup which event was organised for the women elite, women youth, men elite and men youth boxers in the modern metropolis.
Pan Sumei is one of the best Chinese youth boxer who won the Hong Kong City Cup in 2016 and has got chance to be the Best Asian Women’s Youth Boxer of the Year. Efasha Kamarudin secured a historical gold medal for Singapore in the 2016 Hong Kong City Cup which was her nation’s first ever title in a woman competition and a great highlight of the last edition one year ago.
Hong Kong’s top athletes will be there in the competition in January and planning to keep at least one title in home. Their neighbouring Macau confirmed its participation in the next edition in January while China, Chinese Taipei and Singapore also could be the stars of the 2017 Hong Kong City Cup.
