Fourteen winners celebrated their gold medals at the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships

Aktobe was the host of the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships where the 14 exciting finals were on the official program in the sixth day of boxing. Among the 284 participating boxers, fourteen won their weight categories in Aktobe where the main sensation was caused by Daulet Tulemisov at the middleweight (75kg).

The 2020 edition of the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic but the competition returned to the official program after two years of break. All of the regions and cities of Kazakhstan sent their best boxers to the Junior National Championships.

All of the fourteen categories from the pre-pinweight (44kg) to the heavyweight (+80kg) were in action in the sixth competition day at the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships. The young winners celebrated their titles the city of Aktobe which is located in the Western part of Kazakhstan.

Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 were eligible to attend in the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships. The national event was a preparation before the main international competitions of the year. The head coach of the Kazakh junior national team, former Olympian boxer Mr. Arkadiy Topayev followed all of the contests since the first session of the event.

Kemerkhan and Izbasarov won the first two finals in Aktobe

Karagandy region’s Temirlan Kemerkhan eliminated the main favourite of the division, Pavel Tokarev in the quarter-finals of the Junior National Championships and walked over to the gold following his opponent, Dzhambul region’s Beksultan Boranbek was unable to box against him in the final. Zhandarbek Izbasarov will be turning to 15 only later this year but Mangystau region’s best junior boxer defeated Karagandy region’s top boxer, Damir Baipakov, who claimed bronze medal at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships.

Kadyrkhan and Zhaksylykov defeated their older rivals in the finals

Aidar Kadyrkhan was born in 2006 as Kemerkhan and Izbasarov but he impressed in the Junior National Championships in Aktobe where he was too smart for Pavlodar region’s Islam Mashkentayev in the final of the light flyweight (48kg). Akezhan Zhaksylykov is spending his first year among the junior boxers but he was tactically well-experienced in the national event and claimed the gold medal of the light bantamweight (52kg) who defeated Torekhan Sabyrkhan of Shymkent in the final.

Kalinin and Niyazbay impressed in the next finals

Mangystau region’s Sungat Rasulov advanced to the final of the flyweight (50kg) but he was defeated by Dzhambul region’s 16-year-old Ilya Kalinin despite of his strong performance during his road to the title contest. Mangystau region’s next finalist Adaybek Niyazbay was succeeded in Aktobe and won the busy bantamweight (54kg) after beating Karagandy region’s Madiyar Otar in the final.

Stars as Anarbayev and Abdolda won their weight categories

Turkestan region’s Bakhtiyar Anarbayev achieved bronze medal at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and as expected he dominated the featherweight (57kg) in Aktobe. Anarbayev defeated his final opponent Oner Seilkhan and won his next national title proving his impressive technical skills. Almaty region’s Zhasulan Abdolda earned also bronze medal at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and dominated the final of the the light welterweight (63kg) against one-year younger Abil Kasymov of Pavlodar region.

Tulemisov delivered a sensation at the middleweight (75kg) following Litvinov’s gold

Viktor Litvinov of Akmola region was member of the schoolboy national team in 2018 and also in 2019 therefore his success over Zhandos Yersultanov was not a surprise in the final of the light middleweight (70kg). Akmola region’s Batyrkhan Seitenov was gold medallist at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and joined to the final of the middleweight (75kg) after beating Birzhan Saduakasov. The 16-year-old Seitenov was defeated by Daulet Tulemisov of Aktobe region which caused the main sensation of the last sixth competition day.
