Four Men’s World Champions strengthen Team Kazakhstan in Chiang Mai

Following the girls, Kazakhstan selected its powerful male team to the upcoming ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships which will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from November 28 and will be lasting until December 12.
Kazakhstan bagged three gold, six silver and three bronze medals in the last edition of the 2022 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Amman, Jordan two years ago. Their previous head coach, Mr. Kairat Satzhanov returned to the team and he selected the 13-strong male team to Chiang Mai.
Nurbek Oralbay achieved a silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games and he received a resting period after that strong success therefore he will miss the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships but their line-ups are super strong.
The 21-year-old Sanzhar Tashkenbay achieved a gold medal at the minimumweight (48kg) in both of the recent two major events such as the 2023 World Boxing Championships and the 2022 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
The 2021 World Champion Saken Bibossynov had several medals from the Olympic Games, ASBC events and many other major competitions at the flyweight (51kg). The 27-year-old boxer has brilliant technical skills and he is aiming for his first ASBC Asian Elite title in Chiang Mai.
Makhmud Sabyrkhan moved back to the bantamweight (54kg) which is the best for his height and physical conditions and the 2023 World Champion Kazakh is looking for his first Asian Elite gold medal in North Thailand.
The 26-year-old silver boy from the Nationals, Orazbek Assylkulov has finally fought out his spot in the top national team, he will be competing at the featherweight (57kg) with strong chances. The former Asian Youth Champion Beybarys Zheksen will be aiming for a gold medal at the lightweight (60kg) in the upcoming championships.
The Paris Olympian, 22-year-old Mukhammedsabyr Bazarbay Uulu was selected to participate at the light welterweight (63.5kg). Dulat Bekbauov achieved a silver medal at the welterweight (67kg) two years ago and he plans to brighten that into a gold next week.
The three-time World bronze medallist and the two-time Olympian Abylaikhan Zhussupov returned to the boxing events a few months ago and he could be Kazakhstan’s ace at the light middleweight (71kg) in Chiang Mai.
The Youth World bronze medallist Dias Molzhigitov (75kg) and the Asian U22 Champion Yerassyl Zhakpekov (80kg) will be debutants in the elite competition while the 2019 World Champion Bekzat Nurdauletov returned to the best selection at the cruiserweight (86kg).
The Asian Games bronze medallist Sagyndyk Togambay has seven years of international routine despite his age of 23 and he was named among the favourites at the heavyweight (92kg). The Asian Champion and Paris Olympian Aibek Oralbay moved up to the super heavyweight (+92kg) in the previous weeks to achieve his next top result in Chiang Mai.
