Dream finals in several weight classes at the Dildabekov Youth Tournament

Dream finals realized at the light welterweight (63.5kg), welterweight (67kg) and middleweight (75kg) at the Dildabekov Prizes Youth Tournament in the city of Turkestan where the exciting semi-finals have concluded.

The number of the participating boxers is 116 and the 2006 and the 2007 born boxers are eligible to compete in the Dildabekov Prizes Youth Tournament. The new edition of the Dildabekov Prizes Youth Tournament covers all of the 13 male weight classes from the minimumweight (48kg) up to the super heavyweight (+92kg).

Mr. Mukhtarkhan Dildabekov was a famous Kazakh super heavyweight boxer in the end of the 1990s and beginning of the 2000s. He earned a silver at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, a gold at the Bangkok 1998 Asian Games, a silver at the Houston 1999 World Boxing Championships.

Dias Berikbay made a fantastic start in the Dildabekov Youth Tournament and the Zhetysu region’s boxer sailed into the final of the minimumweight (48kg) in Turkestan after stopping Aldiyar Taszhan in the last four.

Beksultan Boranbek is member of the top Kazakh youth national team and he smashed Tajikistan’s Khasan Khoshimov in the first round of their semi-final. The powerful Boranbek finished the bout in the second round and he will meet for the title of the flyweight (51kg) Azamat Zhumabek who made a U-turn in his semi-final against a Kyrgyz opponent, Yasur Taalaibek Uulu.

Among the top youth national team members in Kazakhstan, Adilbek Kozhakhan had to do his very best against Uzbekistan’s Asliddin Ruzimurodov at the bantamweight (54kg) but Zhanseri Kosherbayev marched into the final of the featherweight (57kg) more easily.

Aleksey Khavantsev, the new Asian Youth Champion at the lightweight (60kg), was too strong for Dias Oshakbay and the Uzbek referee stopped their contest in the first round which means the 18-year-old talent will face with Abubakir Makhambet for the title.

Two fantastic finals to be expected at the light welterweight (63.5kg) and the welterweight (67kg) in Turkestan. Firstly Akhmet Ussen will meet Russia’s Malik Sugaipov, secondly the four-time Asian Champion Torekhan Sabyrkhan will be boxing for the gold with Dias Serikuly after a tough semi-final.

Kazakhstan’s new Asian Youth Champion at the light middleweight (71kg), Oner Seilkhan controlled all of the three rounds against his opponent from Almaty, Nursultan Shildebay but his strong teammate, Igor Solovyev was not able to join the finals. The dream final has realized at the middleweight (75kg) where the Asian Champion Sanzhar-Ali Begaliyev will meet Zhasulan Berdaly. Nurasyl Dumanov and Nurgeldi Zhumatay managed to win their tough semi-finals at the super heavyweight (+92kg).
