Chan, Leong and Reyes are the three winners in the Macau Physical Fitness & Shadowboxing Challenge


Macau Boxing Association’s next activity the Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge was held in the country in the recent days to stay active their players and youth talents. The winners of the three categories were Chan Man Man, Leong Teng Chon and Alvin John Reyes Salinas in the Challenge. Macau’s ITO and boxing official Mr. Billy Vong was the main organizer of the Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge.
Following their intensive summer camps and national courses, their Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge was a great success in Macau. The Shadowboxing Challenges produced excellent successes and figures starting in Europe, followed in India, in Japan and in Pakistan therefore Macau decided also to launch a similar new program. The best three athletes received medals and cash prizes from the Macau Boxing Association.
The program was an excellent test for their boxers without any real contacts in Macau and let the athletes to have a special platform to do healthy exercises and keep themselves fit. Sprint running races in 100m and 400 distances, 12-minutes race, rope skipping, push up, 20m shuttle run, horizontal bars, and standing long jump events were part of the first competition day. Sandbag punching and shadowboxing were scheduled on the second day of the Macau challenge.
The promotional video of the Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge was arranged by the Macau Boxing Association at the St. Paul’s Arch one month ago to inspire their community. Macau’s best boxer Indonesian President’s Cup silver medallist Leong Kin Fong was the actor in the PR video but in the challenge he was only runner-up in the elite men’s category following Alvin John Reyes Salinas who surprised him with his condition.
Macau’s best elite female boxer Chan Man Man defeated all of her rivals in the challenge based on the scores and won the women’s category. Leong Teng Chon was slightly better in the Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge than Ao Kai Fong and won the title in the men’s youth division.

Men’s Youth:

Men’s Elite:

Silver medal – Leong Kin Fong
Bronze medal – Lam Kuok Wai
