Bahrain’s best boxers shined at the UAE Open Boxing Championships on Day2
Forty-four bouts were on the schedule in the second competition day at the UAE Open Boxing Championships in Abu Dhabi.
ASBC Secretary General Mr. Ali Salameh and ASBC Competition Director Mr. Bassam Ghanem are both are at the venue and follow the bouts of the UAE Open Boxing Championships. The UAE Open Boxing Championships has scheduled for both genders and the boxers in the elite, youth and junior age groups.
Fifteen junior contests were on the schedule of the second competition day in Abu Dhabi where Mohammed Abdelrahman opened the session with a success over Mohammed Mabkhout of Al-Ain at the pinweight (46kg).
Fahad Taymour, the next junior talent from Al-Ain, defeated a boxer from Bahrain, Mohammed Sameer Moamen at the light flyweight (48kg). Abu Dhabi’s Ahmed Ali Al-Mansuri won the tightest junior bout of the session, he was able to use the final seconds effectively to beat Ahmed Mohammed Alkheli.
The youth boxers were also busy in the second competition day, the best in the whole region, Bahrain’s 18-year-old Ali Bukhlaf dominated his contest in Abu Dhabi. The ASBC Boxing Championships competitor stopped his opponent, Zayed Amer Rashed in the second round at the youth welterweight (67kg).
Abu Dhabi’s Abdullah Saif Al-Shihi spent a short time in the ring and he knocked out Anas Shehabeldin in the opening minute of their youth light welterweight (63.5kg) contest. Yuki Arasaki (63.kg), Said Khaled (75kg), Seyed Ali Seyedsadegh (80kg) and Haider Alsamarae (80kg) all won their youth semi-finals by RSC.
Twenty-two elite bouts are also schedule of Day2 at the UAE Open Boxing Championships, including four female contests as well. Hala Saleh Rashidi stopped her rival Haya Alali at the women’s flyweight (51kg) and she marched to the finals in Abu Dhabi where her last opponent will be Nissa Mahdi of Abu Dhabi.
Bahrain’s ex-Kazakh boxer, the veteran Azat Makhmetov will compete at the upcoming Asian Games and he had the skills to dominate his bantamweight (54kg) semi-final against Mohmed Navit. Bahrain’s further elite boxers, Nurkhan Mussebayev (86kg), Rasheed Mehrilfar (92kg) and the Tokyo Olympian Denis Latypov (+92kg) all won their contests.
United Arab Emirates’ top boxer, Amer Al-Suwaider defeated Hamzah Taher in the semi-finals of the elite welterweight (67kg), while his World Championships competitor teammate, Hussein Alkandari knocked out his rival. Iraq’s duo, Amer Mohammed Al-Hasan (80kg) and Amer Abbod (92kg) both are finalists in Abu Dhabi.
