Asian Schoolboy Champions will lead Team Iran at the ISF U15 Gymnasiade in Zlatibor

The International School Sports Federation will be organising the ISF U15 Gymnasiade in Zlatibor, Serbia on April 4-14 and several top teams are aiming for medals in the boxing part of the competition. The Iranians have selected six boxers to participate in the ISF U15 Gymnasiade and all of them are medal favourites.
It will be a thrilled event in Serbia which host the next competition after the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. Following Nis, another Serbian city, Zlatibor will welcome the participants in 25 different sports including boxing.
Team Iran will compete in 12 sports in this historic Gymnasiade with the total number of 114 athletes. Six of the Iranians have selected to participate in the boxing event of the Games in the mountain region of West Serbia.
The Iranians astonished the world in the recent ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Al Ain, UAE last year. It was an enormous performance from their youngsters in Al Ain and another historic result from the promising Iranians.
Matin Chamipa is a boxer who need to keep an eye on in this upcoming competition due to his previous experience. He claimed a gold medal at the 49kg weight class in the 2024 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and he is planning to repeat that in Zlatibor.
Mahan Mohammadi Anjengesh also impressed in Al Ain, he achieved a bronze and after a few months of hard work, he moved up to two weight classes. As Matin Chamipa, Farzan Ahmadi Afzadi was also ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion in 2024 therefore his expectations are high in Zlatibor.
Their schoolboys are certain about to take gold medals in Serbia and their Pouyan Norouzi, Parsa Haroon Rashidi and Mehrshad Sherafatmand are also ready for the event.
