ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira and the ASBC management send their sincere condolence to Kazuki Anaguchi’s family

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira of Thailand, furthermore the whole ASBC Management send their sincere condolence to Japan’s Kazuki Anaguchi’s family following the 23-year-old boxer passed away.

Mr. Kazuki Anaguchi was born in Osaka in 2000 and he represented first Team Japan at the 2015 Junior World Boxing Championships in St. Petersburg where he won one contest. His next main international competition was the 2018 edition of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

He claimed a silver medal at the 2017 Japanese National Sports Festival and a gold at the 2018 Japanese National High School Selection Tournament. Following his performance in the national events and in Bangkok, he received the right to participate at the 2018 Youth World Boxing Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Anaguchi was member of the Japanese youth national teams in 2017 and in 2018 as well and he was a great future prospect in the sport. The 170cm tall boxer switched to professional boxing in 2021 and he a 6-1 record before his unexpected death.

The Asian Boxing Family and the Asian Boxing Confederation will never forget his achievement and his attitude in our sport. May his soul will rest in eternal peace in Japan.
