ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira and the ASBC management send their condolences to the victims in Kazakhstan’s mine tragedy

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira of Thailand and the whole ASBC management send their condolences to the victims of the mine blaze which happened in Karaganda, Kazakhstan where 46 workers passed away.
The accident, the fire in the coal mine in the Kostenko minery is the worst tragedy in the Kazakhstan’s post-Soviet history. The mine is owned by the ArcelorMittal since 1995 and unfortunately it was not the first tragedy in the recent two years.
The Asian Boxing Confederation and the Kazakh LOC ordered a moment of silence in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships after the tragedy. May their souls will rest in eternal peace in Kazakhstan.
