ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba sends his best wishes to the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation and to the UAE people on their National Day
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore and the whole ASBC management are sending their best wishes to the UAE people, the UAE government, the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation and their whole Boxing Family on their National Day.
The United Arab Emirates National Day or in Arabic Al Yawm Al Watani is celebrated on 2 December each year in the UAE. The National Day of the UAE stands for the nationalisation from the British Protectorate Treaties which was introduced in 1968 and marks the formal federal unification of the seven emirates in 1971. The seventh emirate, Ra’s al-Khaimah joined to the federation in 1972.
The United Arab Emirates National Day contains fireworks, car rallies, dance shows and many other activities in all of the seven emirates. The UAE people decorates their homes, workplaces with national flags and wears national dresses during the celebrations. Downtown of Dubai will be lightened with fireworks and the famous Burj Khalifa displays the national flag of the United Arab Emirates.
ASBC President and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Anas Alotaiba is also the President of the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation who supported the development of the country in boxing. He supported the Gender Equality Program in the two recent two years which was one of his key parts of his long-term strategy.
Mr. Anas Alotaiba worked to be approved the Hijab for the women boxers of the Arabic countries since he was elected as ASBC President. United Arab Emirates competed with two women athletes in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships and their junior girls were their also in Fujairah.
United Arab Emirates hosted the last edition of the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Fujairah on October 2019 which attracted the teams, the officials and all of the participating young boxers. The event had a fantastic Opening Show and saw also record number of boxers and countries in the history of the competition. The top nations dominated the competition but United Arab Emirates also claimed three bronze medals in the event.
Short after the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships, the Clash of the Countries Sovereign Boxing Tournament was held in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on November 2019 which was a fantastic gala altogether 12 bouts in the schedule. The United Arab Emirates hosted several events in the recent two years and their boxers competed almost all of the ASBC Asian Boxing Championships in 2019.
