ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba sends his best wishes to the Cambodia Boxing Federation on their Independence Day
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore and the whole ASBC management are sending their best wishes to the Cambodia Boxing Federation and their whole Boxing Family on their Independence Day.
The Independence Day is an annual national holiday holds every year in Cambodia on November 9. Cambodia declared its independence from France on November 9 in 1953 eight years after the World War II.
France had the control over Cambodia from 1863 and after the colonization period King Norodom Sihanouk began claiming independence in 1949. He led the nation 70 years ago which became fully independent in 1953 following his procedures.
The Cambodian Independence Day is a very special and a happy day for the whole nation which handled also the Covid-19 pandemic successfully. The biggest celebration holds at the Independence Monument in their capital city in Phnom Penh. The leaders, the representative of the states, the officials and the public department members all attend in a formal ceremony in the morning of the Independence Day.
The Cambodian Boxing Federation also celebrates the Independence Day but the organization is working on their next activity, the National Championships which will be held in the last week of November. The Cambodian Boxing Federation arranged a Coach Course to develop their talented and the new generation of trainers in September. The Cambodian national boxing team returned to their training camp to Phnom Penh on June after the quarantine period and continued the preparations for the planned upcoming international events. Sixteen female and male boxers including some youth talents have been preparing in the national training camp with the support of four local and foreign coaches.
