ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champions shined in the finals of the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup

The fifteen finals were held in the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup in Tashkent where several of the title contests delivered world class battles between the promising stars. Boburbek Bobojonov won the bout of the finals in Tashkent where further ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champions shined in the competition.

The Uzbekistan Junior National Championships was held in Tashkent on October 2020 and their new event the National Cup for the age group is the next activity in the boxing power. Many of the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champions attends in the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup in Tashkent where the venue is the Universal Sport Complex.

Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006, are eligible to attend in the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup. Besides to the official 13 junior weight classes in the international stage, two more categories have been added to the official schedule of the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup. These were the additional 42kg and the 44kg weight classes which meant that 15 champions will be crowned in the finals.

Ilkhomjon Ergashev of Tashkent region achieved the first gold medal of the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup, beating all of his five opponents at the 42kg weight class including Sobirjon Tastanov in the final. Bukhara’s 15-year-old Mirali Mavlonov won the Junior National Championships on October but he suffered a surprise loss in the final of the 44kg to Javokhir Koysinov in Tashkent.

Ferghana’s defending ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Khumoyunmirzo Abdurasulov achieved only bronze medal in the Junior National Championships on October but his time he defeated Bukhara’s Bekzod Tolibov in the final of the pinweight (46kg) and took the gold. The top favourite of the light flyweight (48kg), ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Hojiakbar Mahmudov lost his preliminary contest therefore the gold medal was captured by Tashkent region’s Sayat Ilyasov.

The favourite Abdullokh Madaminov defeated Tashkent region’s Shokhrukh Abdumalikov in the title bout of the flyweight (50kg) at the Junior National Championships in October and he repeated that success in the National Cup. Uzbekistan’s super talented 14-year-old Farrukh Tulaganov of Kashkadarya had to do his very best against Bukhara’s Asadbek Rajabov in the final of the light bantamweight (52kg) but he succeeded.

ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Dalerjon Bozorov was the Best Boxer of the Uzbekistan Junior National Championships in October but due to his injury, he was unable to attend in the National Cup. In his absence, 15-year-old Javokhir Ummataliyev outpointed Andizhan’s Mukhammadazizbek Ismoilov in the final of the bantamweight (54kg) and won the next title in Tashkent.

The most excited final of the Uzbekistan Junior National Cup was held between two ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champions, Andizhan’s 15-year-old Umidillo Abdurasulov and Khorezm’s Boburbek Bobojonov in Tashkent. Both boxers moved up to the featherweight (57kg) in the recent weeks and their bout was not only impressive but delivered the level of a world final. Two-time Schoolboys National Champion Bobojonov used the best tactic against his opponent and won the bout of the final day.

ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Lazizbek Tulkinov moved up to the lightweight (60kg) and impressed during his road to the Junior National Cup beating ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Jakhongir Narziev in the semi-final and defeated also Ferghana’s Bunyodjon Amirov in the final. Namangan’s Junior National Champion Fazliddin Erkinboyev won the title of the light welterweight (63kg) following his success over Bukhara’s Bekhruzbek Toshev.

The main favourite of the welterweight (66kg), Shavkat Boltayev was not able to box in the semi-finals therefore the gold medal of the category was taken by Abdullokh Nazarov of Tashkent. Navoy’s ASBC Asian Schoolboys Champion Mizrob Nekboyev moved up to the light middleweight (70kg) but he has done enough to beat Andizhan’s Abdulaziz Abdurakhmonov in a hectic final.

Ferghana’s Mukhammadumar Bakhromov had a difficult final at the middleweight (75kg) against Temurbek Abduvakhobov but he managed to win the contest. Schoolboys National Champion Aynazar Kenesbayev claimed Karakalpakstan’s lone gold medal in the Junior National Cup after beating Rakhmatjon Kabulbayev. Tashkent’s experienced Khusanboy Rikhsiboyev amazed at the heavyweight (+80kg) and controlled all of the rounds against Bukhara’s Ravshanjon Soliyev.
