Arziyev Brothers tourney set early next month in Osh
Serving as one of the last preparatory events for the ASBC Asian Elite Championships 2022, the 11th Arziyev Brothers Tournament will take place on October 4 to 9 in the historic Kyrgyz city of Osh.
The tournament, named after the Kyrgyzstan boxing icons Abduvali and Nurgazy Arziyev, will feature all 13 official men’s weight divisions.
President of the Kyrgyz Boxing Federation Mr. Umbetaly Kydyraliev and president of the Osh Regional Boxing Federation Mr. M. Mametov have already invited various local and national teams to participate in the competition..
Since its launch in 2010, the Arziyev Brothers tourney has helped produce amateur boxing stars.
Among them were world and Olympic bronze medalist Mavzuna Chorieva of Tajikistan, Asian champion Enkh-Amar Kharkhuu of Mongolia, Asian medalists Erkin Adylbek Uulu and Mirlan Turkbay Uulu of Kyrgyzstan and Rio Olympics veteran Yodgoroy Mirzaeva of Uzbekistan.
Kyrgyzstan’s elite male pugs will look to draw valuable experience from this year’s Arziyev Brothers tilt as they try to surpass their four-bronze medal haul from the Asian Elite Championships last year in Dubai.

Men’s: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg
