Arslan Shamyradov proved his best Turkmenistan Youth National Championships

The Turkmenistan Youth National Championships was held in their capital city in Ashgabat where ten men champions were crowned. The best youth boxers in Turkmenistan such as Batyr Bayramov, Arslan Shamyradov, Saparmyrat Odayev and Geldymammet Toylyyev all won their weight classes in the national event.
Turkmenistan’s youth squad leading by coach Mr. Aliasker Bashirov claimed two medals in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan which was a great success of the country. The Turkmenistan Youth National Championships was a selection event for the upcoming 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in July.
The first gold medal of the Turkmenistan Youth National Championships was achieved by Yhlas Klychjanov who is a new face in this age group. The 16-year-old talent defeated Kovus Kovusov in the final of the light flyweight (49kg) and has got chance to show his skills in the international level in 2017.
Batyr Bayramov was member of the youth national team of Turkmenistan in 2016 and since then he moved up to the flyweight (52kg) which was the most difficult in their Youth National Championships. The 17-year-old talent had to beat Muhammetmyrat Mukhammedov in the semi-final of the event while he had to do also top performance against Aymyrat Hojanepesov in the gold medal bout. Bayramov defeated his rivals who both competed in the international level in 2015 and in 2016.
Arslan Shamyradov was born in 2000 but he competed in the AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships in 2015 while he reached his career highlight in the Children of Asia Games in Yakutsk, Russia last year when he achieved a valuable bronze medal. Shamyradov defeated the titleholder Kasym Cherkezov in the semi-final of the bantamweight (56kg) and he was able to continue his winning path against Kochkar Charyyev in the final.
Islam Kerimov was a debutant in the youth age group but his efforts were enough to beat Turkmenistan’s national team member Vitaliy Mikheyev in the final of the lightweight (60kg). Saparmyrat Odayev was successful in the schoolboys and junior events in the recent years and he joined to the youth age group this January. He achieved silver in the 2016 Turkmenistan Junior National Championships which he changed now onto gold against Shatlyk Begmuradov in the final of the light welterweight (64kg).
Ivan Solomonenko has got Ukrainian roots and proved his talent in the new edition of the Turkmenistan Youth National Championships. The young talent eliminated national team member Junior National Champion Kuvvat Ilhanov in the semi-final which was his key contest and after that he was also too strong for Bayly Babakov in the gold medal bout.
Gaygysyz Atayev claimed bronze medal in the last edition of the Turkmenistan Youth National Championships but in the new competition he was able to beat Hojamuhammet Charyyev in the final. The gold medal of the light heavyweight (81kg) was achieved by Balkan’s two-time Junior National Champion Mekan Hallyyev who defeated former Schoolboys National Champion Serdar Ereshov in the final of the championships.
Gurban Yollyyev was only bronze medallist in the 2016 Turkmenistan Junior National Championships but he changed that into gold in the Youth National Championships where he was able to win the title of the heavyweight (91kg) against Saparmurat Hallyyev. Geldymammet Toylyyev claimed silver medal in the 2015 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Tashkent therefore his final success at the super heavyweight (+91kg) was not a surprise in the Nationals.
