AIBA and Alibaba Sports Group are partners to get future goals
AIBA signed Memorandum of Understanding with Alibaba Sports Group in the headquarters of the International Boxing Association in Lausanne, Switzerland on January 23. AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu and the CEO of Alibaba Sports Group Mr. Zhang Dazhong signed this agreement after the negotiations which is an important step in the world’s boxing life to develop all areas.
Alibaba Sports Group was former by Alibaba Group which is one of the world’s leading e-commerce brand. The Chinese giant set up a new sport business four months ago last September to continues to raise their areas in the e-commerce. The New York-listed parent company expects to integrate e-commerce, sports media outlets, gaming, marketing, video, home entertainment and other Internet based sport technologies.
AIBA celebrating its 70 years in 2016 and this new strategic partnership is a new commitment to boxing and cover long term projects. The new partnership will bring together a win-win situation for both companies in the future. Alibaba Sports Group’s new targets match also AIBA’s mission, future plans and objectives.
ASBC President and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konkabayev also attended in the meetings between the new partners in Lausanne.
