A strong boxer Abilkhan Amankul will carry Kazakhstan’s flag in the Opening Ceremony of the Asian Games

AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist boxer Abilkhan Amankul was selected as Team Kazakhstan flag bearer for the Opening Ceremony and Parade Nations of the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games. Kazakhstan achieved 84 medals including 28 gold medals in the last edition of the Incheon 2014 Asian Games and their strong team ranked as No.4 in the overall medal table four years ago.
Kazakhstan has sent maximum number of 10 strong boxers to the Asian Games which will be starting with its Opening Ceremony today. The boxing event will be opening in the Asian Games with its first competition day on August 24 and Kazakhstan has got amazing chances to win gold medals in Jakarta.
Abilkhan Amankul was born in 1997 and in spite of his young age he received the right to carry Kazakhstan’s national flag in the Opening Ceremony and Parade of Nations. Amankul impressed in the recent three years and following his WSB title and silver from the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships he is one of the stars of the Kazakh boxing team and will be aiming for the gold at the middleweight (75kg).
