A historic 1-star Referee & Judge Course is holding at the Bahrain National Championships
The 1st edition of the Bahrain National Boxing Championships is not only unique because of the first titles will be shared in the event but a historic 1-star Referee & Judge Course is also holding in Bahrain.
Mr. John Waith of Wales and Mr. Mohamed Braham of Tunisia are the Instructors of the 1-star Referee & Judge Course in Bahrain. Both experienced officials worked in the recent ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships as well.
The 1-star Referee & Judge Course contains theoretical and pragmatic parts as well to increase the skills and experience of the local national referees & judges.
The Bahrain Boxing Federation never hosted any National Championships yet but their first ever edition is one of the highlights of the upcoming days. The competition venue of the National Championships will be the Table Tennis Hall in Isa Town until June 13.
The Kingdom’s first National Boxing Championships will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled Bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Bahrain Combat Sports Council and the General Sports Authority also support the Bahrain Boxing Federation in this event.
The finals of Bahrain National Championships will be held on June 13 and the women’s elite, men’s elite and men’s youth boxers will be in action. Mr. Tony Davis is the head coach of the national team who arranged several organizational matters for this first ever Bahrain National Championships.
