Mr. Serik Konakbayev and the whole ASBC management wishes Happy Birthday to the former boxing icon and President of the Hungarian Boxing Association Mr. Zsolt Erdei

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Serik Konakbayev, furthermore the whole ASBC management wishes Happy Birthday to the President of the Hungarian Boxing Association Mr. Zsolt Erdei who is celebrating his 44th birthday today.
Mr. Zsolt Erdei was born in Budapest on May 31 in 1974 who was European Junior Champion in 1992 which was his first career highlight. As a boxer he was AIBA World Champion in 1997, European Champion twice in 1998 and in 2000. In spite of his injury he claimed bronze medal in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games before turning professional.
Erdei was a successful professional boxer following his amateur career, he was light heavyweight WBO World Champion and making eleven consecutive defences between 2004 and 2009 and hold also the WBC cruiserweight title. He finished his professional career with the record of 34 wins and 1 loss in 2014. Erdei was elected as President of the Hungarian Boxing Association on April 1 in 2017. Erdei’s success as President of the Hungarian Boxing Association his management will be hosting the upcoming AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budapest this August.
