The Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament saw 15 new winners in Talas

The new edition of the Moldaly Murataliev Memorial Tournament was held in the city of Talas in Kyrgyzstan where the region’s top junior boxers met in an international event. Uzbekistan’s Bekzod Turdialiyev, Kyrgyzstan’s Azat Marat Uulu and Kazakhstan’s Sultan Babakhanov were the bests in the Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament.
The event gave chance to the youngest boxers to represent their countries in an international boxing competition. The competition was held for the next year’s junior age group therefore boxers who were born in 2002 and 2003 could attend in the Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament in Talas.
Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan sent their boxers to the Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament to Talas where 15 new champions have been crowned. The event was also the first preparation competition for the 2018 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships.
The first gold medal of the Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament remained in Kyrgyzstan following Kurmanbek Kadyrov’s success over his teammate Bekzhan Nurbek Uulu at the 40kg weight class. Anvar Khodzhiyev and Jasurbek Kamilov both won their weight classes for the host nation’s squad in Talas.
Kyrgyzstan’s Yerlan Yesenkulov eliminated Kazakhstan’s Syrym Lesbay in the semi-finals and continued his winning path against his compatriot Ravil Ibragimov in the gold medal bout of the pinweight (46kg). The final verdict was unanimous decision to Yesenkulov who proved his talent in the city of Talas.
Bekzod Turdialiyev achieved several top results in the national events in Uzbekistan and moved up to the light flyweight (48kg) in the recent weeks which was a great decision from his coaches. The 15-year-old Uzbek talent captured the gold medal after beating Kyrgyzstan’s Baktybek Sadyrbek Uulu in the final.
One of the best fight in the whole Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament was delivered by Kyrgyzstan’s Azamat Yermekbay Uulu and ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Bayaman Magzymov who was the most experienced at the flyweight (50kg). Finally Yermekbay Uulu’s hand was raised after the last gong which was a small surprise in the competition.
Uzbekistan’s second gold medal was delivered by Anvarjon Sidikjonov who was too quick for Kyrgyzstan’s Arstan Urkunchiyev in the final of the bantamweight (54kg). Kazakhstan’s lone gold medal in the Moldaly Murataliev Junior Memorial Tournament was achieved by Sultan Babakhanov who defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Maksim Ivashchenko in his respective final.
Kyrgyzstan’s Azat Marat Uulu and Uzbekistan’s Azimjon Ergashev met for the title of the lightweight (60kg) and the host nation’s pride was able to defeat his top rival in Talas. Uzbekistan’s third gold medal was delivered by Khasan Musakhanov while his teammate Ibrokhimjon Ortikov won their fourth in Talas.
Kyrgyzstan’s junior No.1 Baygazy Malik Uulu stopped Tajikistan’s Okildzhan Isayev in the semi-final and his stamina was enough to beat Uzbekistan’s Lutfullo Khabibullayev in the final of the welterweight (66kg). Kyrgyzstan’s strong duo in the highest weight classes as Eldiyar Zhangaziyev and Khamit Aliyev took the last titles in Talas.
