“I am so happy after my triumph in the semi-final of the ASBC Asian Confederation Women’s Boxing Championships in Ho Chi Minh City. I enjoyed so much this bout, I am always happy when I come to the ring. I received a lot of support from my Boxing Federation and I felt the love of my country.
It was a great feeling for me to box once again in my original light flyweight (48kg) where I reached five titles in the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. In the recent years I boxed at the flyweight (51kg) due the Olympic Games and London with a bronze medal was an amazing experience for me five years ago. However my current weight class is not an Olympic one, I am happy to box here,”
said India’s national boxing icon Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmangte after her semi-final.
