ASBC celebrates its 10 years anniversary
One of the most proud moment of the year has come, the Asian Boxing Confederation celebrates its 10 years anniversary today. Asia’s boxers were amazing in the recent 10 years and the continent’s boxing life is now stronger than ever which is the success of the cooperation, communication, hard work and enthusiasm.
The Asian Boxing Confederation was established during the Chicago 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships exactly 10 years ago and since then we are all proud of the development in Asia’s boxing life which is a common success of the National Federations, the officials, the boxers, the coaches and ASBC. Asia’s main boxing organization was FAAB before 2007 which was replaced by ASBC in the Chicago 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships.
The Asian Boxing Confederation or shortly ASBC is a combat sport organization which is leading the biggest continent’s boxing life. The Asian Boxing Confederation is the only and official governing body of the boxing sport in the continent. The Asian Boxing Confederation is also a management which has got four Vice-Presidents, fifteen Executive Committee members and professional commissions which cover all the activities of ASBC.
The Asian Supervisors and the International Technical Officials are arranging the continental and international competition’s main duties. The new corporate image contains new logo, new slogan, new visual elements, new social media sites and new website. The ASBC slogan is Together We Are Power.
The Asian Boxing Confederation is member of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and has got strong relationships with his stakeholders in the media, government and all of the other areas. The Asian Boxing Confederation has got also exceptional and special relationship with the affiliated national federations in all regions of the continent.
A new era began in the Asian Boxing Confederation when Mr. Serik Konakbayev became the ASBC President in the end of 2014. Boxing and the athletes are in the spotlight and Mr. Serik Konakbayev knows what the boxers need in our era after his silver medal in the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games, his two European titles and many other big achievements.
Asia’s leading boxing organization holds clear events between the opponents in the women and men competitions and says no to doping in the continent’s boxing life where the diversity shines. We are rivals in the competitions, friends out of the ring and not enemies.
The Asian Boxing Confederation is responsible for boxing in the most populated continent where we can support 44 nations to reach their goals. In the Asian market boxing the Asian Boxing Confederation put the cooperation, support, ethics, antidopping policies, friendliness and communication into the spotlight and the continuous development of the combat sport.
ASBC vision is to beat all of the continents in the main international events and to be the No.1 in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The main target of the Asian Boxing Confederation is to continue the highest quality of boxing in each ASBC and AIBA events and raised the results of the continent into another upgraded level. Asia’s best men elite boxers achieved 15 medals in the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships and our continent was ahead of all of the others in the most important event of the year.
Asian Boxing Confederation has got donation programs for the developing boxing countries and after the 2017 ASBC continental events the several countries received Wesing equipments as support.
ASBC has been holding events for elite men, elite women, youth and junior boxers and as a new competition the U22 Championships in 2018. ASBC have got active Website, Facebook and Instagram pages, furthermore Youtube channel and monthly newsletter to inform all National Federations and stakeholders about Asia’s boxing life.

– 2018 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships (Thailand)
– 2018 ASBC Asian Confederation U22 Boxing Championships (the bidding is still open)
– 2018 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships (the bidding is still open)
– Asian Games (Jakarta, Indonesia)
