The Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships was a cultural show in Puerto Princesa
The Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships was held before the start of the first competition day in Puerto Princesa. Palawan proved their beautiful island can host the event in high level in the Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships.
Altogether record number of 138 boxers from 18 countries is competing for the medals in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Puerto Princesa. The Opening Ceremony began with attractive dancing shows which introduced Palawan’s rich culture and diversity.
Executive Director of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Bagdaulet Turekhanov, ASBC Vice-President Mr. Yousuf Ali Al-Kazim, ASBC EC member Mr. Anas Al-Otaiba, ASBC EC member Mr. Walid Jarrar, Supervisor of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib all attended in the Opening Ceremony.
Commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission their former famous basketball icon Mr. Ramon Fernandez and ASBC Vice-President Mr. Yousuf Ali Al-Kazim welcomed the participants in their speeches and opened the competition. Philippines’ top junior boxer Criz Russu Laurente took an oath on behalf of the boxers in the Opening Ceremony. The show was finished with the flag parade of the participating countries.
