The Drawing Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships was held in Puerto Princesa

The Drawing Ceremony was held in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in the Hotel Centro after the General Weigh-in in Puerto Princesa. Altogether record number of 138 boxers from 18 countries will be competing for the medals in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships.
Supervisor of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib led the Drawing Ceremony in Puerto Princesa where Nepal and Saudi Arabia are the new countries in the history of the event. Boxers who were born in 2001 and in 2002 are eligible to compete for the medals in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Puerto Princesa.
Uzbekistan’s new national team member in the junior level Mukhammadmuso Abdurakhmonov will be meeting with South Korea’s No.1 in the age group Shin Jae Young in the first preliminary round of the pinweight (46kg) in Puerto Princesa. Their contest could be one of the highlight of the preliminary stage of the championship.
Philippines’s six-time National Champion in several age groups Criz Russu Laurente is the main gold medal contender of the light flyweight (48kg) who will be meeting with China’s Cai Yujun in the first preliminary round. His teammate John Vincent Pangga will have hard job in the opening stage of the event as he will meet with Uzbekistan’s Heydar Aliyev Junior Cup winner Amirbek Ibodullaev.
India’s Akshay Kumar is a super talented boxer of his country who will be meeting with Thailand’s Junior National Games winner Sumatas Ontong in the first round of the lightweight (60kg) in Puerto Princesa. Another unique battle is expected between Kazakhstan’s Azamat Bektas and Japan’s Shoi Someya at the light welterweight (63kg) in the opening stage of the continental event.
Iraq’s Children of Asia Games silver medallist Ali Saleh Saleem Sajjad is a secret favourite of the light middleweight (70kg) who will face with Mongolia’s Gantulga Batbayar. Uzbekistan’s unbeaten hope in 2017, Madiyar Rejepov will be meeting with Kazakhstan’s Kuandyk Maksut in another highlight of the opening rounds at the middleweight (75kg). India’s Satender Singh and Chinese Taipei’s Lin Sheng Hao will be meeting in the first preliminary round of the heavyweight (+80kg) in Puerto Princesa.
