Al Amin and Abdur Rahim were the bests in the Bangladesh Army Boxing Championships

The new edition of the Bangladesh Army Boxing Championships for the male elite soldiers was held in Dhaka where the experienced national team members dominated their final fights. Gregory Hasda, Mohammad Al Amin, Mohamed Abdur Rahim and Mohamed Suruj Bangali all claimed the gold medals in the national event.
Dhaka is a busy city and its boxing life is in developing stage with a lot of national competitions in all levels. Bangladesh has got potential in the South Asian region which hosted its Inter-Unit Boxing Championships in April and now their Army Boxing Championships in the capital city.
Gregory Hasda competed at the 2015 ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Bangkok and has been boxing in the national level since many years in spite of the fact he is only 23 now. The light flyweight (49kg) boxer dominated his final fight against Mohamed Alomgir and secured his next national title.
Sohel Chakma moved up to the flyweight (52kg) following his successes at the light flyweight (49kg) and the Army boxer was too strong for Mohamed Mohashin in the gold medal bout. South Asian Games competitor Mohamed Khorshed Alam is an experienced boxer who controlled the final of the bantamweight (56kg) against Mohamed Ahasan.
Muhammad Faysal Mollah competed in the South Asian Games in 2010 where he claimed silver medal and after so many years in the national events he was able to win the title once again at the lightweight (60kg). The 26-year-old Army boxer was too strong for Mohamed Pulomong in the final of the national event.
AIBA World Boxing Championships competitor Mohammad Al Amin has got nearly 100 bouts during his career and won the last six national events as well. The Commonwealth Games competitor amazed the crowd with his superb combinations against Mohamed Riaz in the final and proved he is Bangladesh’s No.1 at the light welterweight (64kg).
South Asian Games winner Mohamed Abdur Rahim is also an international boxer who attended already in the Milan 2009 AIBA World Boxing Championships where he won his opening bout and lost to only to a European star. He moved up to the middleweight (75kg) and did not give any chance to Mohamed Sahed in the final of the event.
Army boxer Mohamed Suruj Bangali attended in the Asian Games and has got more than 15 years of experiences in the sport which was enough to beat all of his rivals at the heavyweight (91kg). The last gold medal was achieved by veteran Mohamed Alomgir who defeated Mohamed Korim in the final of the super heavyweight (+91kg).
