Astana Arlans Kazakhstan and the Uzbek Tigers both won their WSB matches 5-0 on Week 5

The Season VII in the World Series of Boxing continued with four matches over weekend and three Asian teams have also attended on Week 5. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan defeated China Dragons with top performance while the Uzbek Tigers delivered sensational 5-0 triumph against the Russian franchise in Tashkent.

Astana Arlans Kazakhstan vs. China Dragons 5-0
Two-time WSB Team Champion Astana Arlans Kazakhstan won both of their previous WSB match in the difficult Asian Group and had to meet with China Dragons in Atyrau on Week 5. The Kazakh boxers dominated all of the contests off the coast of the Caspian Sea. The final result was 5-0 in the encounter which means Astana Arlans Kazakhstan is the leader of the Asian Group after three matches.
The first success of Astana Arlans Kazakhstan was achieved by Temirtas Zhussupov who had a competitive rival, China Dragons’ He Junjun at the light flyweight (49kg) but he was able to solve that tactical job in Atyrau. Incheon 2014 Asian Games winner Ilyas Suleimenov moved up to the bantamweight (56kg) in the recent months but he could dominate his second WSB bout against China Dragons’ Wang Long in Season VII.
Dilmurat Mizhitov is the newcomer of the Kazakh franchise in Season VII therefore his motivation delivered for him his first WSB success against China Dragons’ Liu Yang. Saparbay Aidarov has done his debut in the World Series of Boxing in Atyrau but his efforts were enough to win all of the rounds against China’s Zhao Minggang. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan’s fifth success was delivered by Anton Pinchuk who could beat China Dragons’ Belarusian boxer Siarhei Novikau in the last bout of the evening.

Uzbek Tigers vs. Patriot Boxing Team 5-0
The Uzbek Tigers had an unlucky loss against China Dragons on Week 1 and the franchise lost its second away match to Astana Arlans Kazakhstan on Week 3. Following their two narrow defeats the Uzbek Tigers proved amazing performance against the Patriot Boxing Team in Tashkent where the Central Asians won all of the contests.
Uzbekistan’s Rio 2016 Olympic Champion Hasanboy Dusmatov returned to the boxing world this weekend and after his strong preparation he dominated his 12th WSB bout against Russia’s Baku 2015 European Games winner Bator Sagaluev. Uzbekistan’s new bantamweight (56kg) hero Abdulkhay Sharakhmatov continued his amazing winning path in the WSB where his record is 5-0 following his impressive triumph over Dmitrii Sharafutdinov.
Uzbekistan’s Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Elnur Abduraimov returned after his injuries but his stamina was enough to beat Russia’s Radmir Abdurakhmanov which contest was the closest one in Tashkent. Israil Madrimov won all of his contests in 2016 and he amazed the local crowd with his effective punches against Russia’s Radzhab Radzhabov. Uzbekistan’s fifth success was delivered by Zukhriddin Makhkamov who was too strong for Russia’s Islam Tekeev in his new weight class.
