Saudi Arabian strategic plans for the development

Saudi Arabia is a developing boxing nation where Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib get new impulse to the further projects and the country returned to the Asian boxing map in the recent one year. The country organized new events from the lowest age groups and hosted international competitions to raise the experiences of their boxers.
Saudi Arabia launched its new strategic program which starts in the upcoming months and its end point is the next edition of the Asian Games which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2018. The Saudi Arabians are planning to join to more competitions in the next months and years after their international training camps. The country is planning to send six boxers to the next edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in 2017.
Saudi Arabian Boxing Federation has got great relationships with the neighboring countries, also with Egypt and Kazakhstan. Following the training camps in the beginning of 2017 the Saudi Arabians will be traveling to Kazakhstan to compete in the Issatai Taimanov & Makhambet Utemisov Memorial Tournament in Atyrau. Following that they will keep focus on the Islamic Solidarity Games which to be scheduled in Baku, Azerbaijan next May.
The Saudi Arabians have program for their youth, junior and schoolboys boxers in the upcoming years. Their strategy also contains developments in the national level, international competitions, and seminars for coaches and R&Js also. Following the examinations Saudi Arabia will have better possibilities using their professionals in the boxing events.
The last edition of the Saudi Arabian National Championships was held in their capital city in Riyadh this May where their best boxers met to fight for the titles. Nine new champions have been crowned, only their Heavyweight class (91 kg) boxer Baker Salem Al-Oumeri was able to defend his title in the competition but some of their veterans returned to the sport and claimed gold in the event.
Saudi Arabia hosted the region’s top boxing event, the important Gulf Countries Tournament in April also in Riyadh where their new management proved the direction of the country’s boxing life which is on the best way to the further successes. Saudi Arabia claimed five gold medals in the Gulf Countries Tournament in the front of the home crowd which was record from the developing boxing country.
