Arvaz and Iksanov were the stars at the Parpiyev Youth Tournament in Osh

The 10th edition of the Rakhmatullo Parpiyev Youth Tournament featured in the historic city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan where the ASBC Asian Junior Champions, such as the local hero, Akhmadi Arvaz and Tajikistan’s Biloldzhon Iksanov were the stars of the event.
Osh is the second largest city in Kyrgyzstan located in the Ferghana Valley and it is the administrative center of the region.
Altogether 124 boxers competed in the Rakhmatullo Parpiyev Youth Tournament where the lightweight (60kg) was the most crowded with the participation of 19 pugilists. Boxers who were born in 2007 and in 2008 were eligible to participate in this international event.
Kyrgyzstan’s Anaraly Anarbekov spends only his first year among the youth boxers and he claimed the first title in Osh where the ringside doctor stopped his minimumweight (48kg) final against Tajikistan’s Abubakr Khasanzoda.
Yasur Taalaybek Uulu claimed gold medals in the previous events in Kyrgyzstan and he continued that winning path in Osh where he defeated his main rivals such as Tajikistan’s Sukhrob Khamidov and his fellow, Mukhammed Orunbekov at the flyweight (51kg).
Tajikistan’s Biloldzhon Iksanov is the reigning ASBC Asian Junior Champion at the bantamweight (54kg) who joined the youth age group this January. Following his national title in Dushanbe, the young Tajik defeated all of his four rivals in Osh including Umar Orusbayev in the final.
Bishkek’s 16-year-old Danil Budavkin defeated both of his main national rivals at the featherweight (57kg), Ruslan Zhusupov and Abdulkhak Sadikov. One of the local boys from Osh, Mukhammad Sadykov dominated his lightweight (60kg) final over Alimukhammed Kurbanov and his rival’s ringside abandoned the contest in the first round.
Sultanmurat Borubayev eliminated his main rival, the ASBC medallist Dilerbek Sadirov in the last four and Islam Magomedov was also not able to stop him. Ali Barktabasov had three RSC victories before the welterweight (67kg) final which was a walk-over for him.
Kyrgyzstan’s ASBC Asian Junior Champion Akhmadi Arvaz is unbeaten this year as well and he stopped all of his three opponents in the first round. Arvaz, who was born in 2008 as the second top star of the event, Iksanov, smashed his compatriot, Beksultan Mamatisayev in the final of the light middleweight (71kg).
Azat Usenbayev knocked out the favourite of the middleweight (75kg), Ramazan Isayev in the semi-finals but the title went to Iskender Rasulzhanov of Osh. Bishkek’s national team member Sadyr Rakhmonberdiyev (80kg), Aziret Avtandilov (86kg), Omurbek Malabayev (92kg) and Aidar Andreyev (+92kg) controlled the heavier weight categories.
