Nepal sent nine strong boxers to the Bhutan 4 Nations International Tournament

Nepal sent nine boxers to the upcoming Bhutan International Invitational Tournament & Joint Training Camp which will be held in their capital city in Thimphu on April 8-13.
The Bhutan Boxing Federation will be arranged a joint training camp before the competition from April 8 to strengthen their ties with the region’s best boxing nations.
The four nations friendly event will be competing in the event in Thimphu from April 11 where eight female and six male weight categories have been added to the official program.
Thimphu is Bhutan’s most important city, occupies in a beautiful valley and it is known for its monasteries, government palace and Buddhist sites.
Mr. Shyam Awale is the Team Manager of the Nepali delegation, while Mr. Puskar Raj Pant is the ITO of the competition from Nepal.
Mr. Prabin Tuladhar is the new head coach of the Nepali team, but the former Asian Games bronze medallist Mr. Deepak Maharjan, Mr. Sandeep Shrestha and Mr. Umesh Katuwal are the additional trainers in the camp and in the event.
Five of the Nepali Referees & Judges, including their 3-star Mr. Dhan Kumar Mainali, the 2-star Mr. Santosh Ale Mahar, furthermore a former international boxer, Ms. Anuradha Lama, Mr. Raj Kumar Maharjan and Mr. Jeewan Kawa will be working as R&J in the event.
Aarati Bomjan is a new sensation in their female team, she not only won the recent selection tournaments but she represented Nepal at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Ramisha Shrestha (48kg), the experienced Asmita Duwal (50kg) and an Army boxer, Barsha Shrestha (54kg) will compete for Nepal in the joint camp and tournament.
Their best male minimumweight (48kg) boxer, Lal Prasad Upreti was involved to Team Nepal in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships and also at the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships.
Laman Rai (48kg), the technician Chandra Bahadur Thapa (51kg) and Prabal Upreti (54kg) also have strong expectations in Bhutan. Chhiring Wangdi Sherpa is one of their youngest male boxers in the elite national team but he has experience from ASBC Championships as well.
