Uzbekistan launched its national boxing calendar
Uzbekistan has strong plans for 2025 which will be another busy boxing year for all of the age groups and both genders with plenty of international duties.
Their female elite boxers claimed record number of medals at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia. The two-time ASBC Asian Champion Navbakhor Khamidova became their first ever female finalist in a World Championships.
The Uzbekistan Elite National Championships has already concluded in the end of January which was postponed from December 2024 due to the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. The competition delivered the victories of several young hopes and next generation boxers in Tashkent.
Their elite boxers started the year at the Strandja Memorial Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria but further competitions will be continued for them in the spring period. All of their stars and promising talents will be busy in training camps and various international events.
Their Schoolgirls National Boxing Championships was held in Tashkent last month and further National Championships are on the focus for the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation.
The next edition of the Elite National Championships will take place after all main international competitions in December 2025. The planning date of the Uzbekistan Youth National Championships is October-November and the event for the juniors is also scheduled to take place in one of the strong regions.
Uzbekistan will arrange National Cups for all of the age groups as well to support the level of the experience of their thousands of athletes.
The regions of Bukhara, Navoi, Sirdarya, Dzhizak, Andizhan, Tashkent, and Kashkadarya, furthermore Tashkent city will host these National Cups in 2025.
The Elite National Cup is planning to be hosted in the middle of the summer for the women and men boxers and could be another selection for them.
