The boxing city of Kostanay will host three important events in 2025

Kazakhstan’s famous boxing city, Kostanay will host three top competitions in 2025 for the juniors, youth and elite boxers and these events are open for the stars.
Mrs. Svetlana Mahleyt is the engine and the main organizer of the events in Kostanay and she supported the participating teams professionally. The city of Kostanay hosted the 2025 edition of the Kazakhstan Schoolboys National Championships in the month of January with strong successes.
The Miroshnichenko Junior Tournament will take place in April as in the previous years and it will be great opportunity for the 2009 and 2010 born boxers.
The junior competition was named after Mr. Aleksandr “Alex” Miroshnichenko who claimed bronze medal at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games and silver at the Moscow 1989 World Boxing Championships. The super heavyweight boxer who represented the Soviet Union during his career, died in Kostanay in 2003.
Their Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament is scheduled to be held in July and strong boxing nations are expected to take part once again. The Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament is one of the top competitions in Kazakhstan and several of the European nations also joined them.
The Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament was a men’s youth international competition, which was named by Ural and Korgan Aitenov. The boxers who were born in 2007 and in 2008 will be eligible to participate in the upcoming Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament.
Tajikistan claimed three gold medals for the very first time in the history of the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament one year ago. Altogether 121 boxers participated in the 2024 edition of the Aitenov Brothers Youth Tournament in Kostanay.
The month of September is the target for the Kostanay Coaches Memorial Tournament which is their main elite competition in the city.
The Kostanay Coaches Tournament is an elite competition for the elite men boxers dedicated for the honoured trainers of the USSR and KazSSR. The competition remembers to Mr. Valeriy Nikulin, Mr. Vadim Gravitskiy, Mr. Mursal Tazhmakin, Mr. Vitaliy Levshin, Mr. Anton Kim and Mr. Sergey Skripnik.
Kazakhstan’s Batyrkhan Seitenov defeated Uzbekistan’s Abdulaziz Abdurakhmonov and he won the battle of the 19-year-old Asian Champions in the finals of the 2024 Kostanay Coaches Memorial Tournament but several other youngsters shined there last September.
