The ASBC medallist Tashkul Amangeldiyev defended his throne at the Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships

The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation arranged its first event in 2025, their Schoolboys National Championships in the city of Kara-Balta.

Kara-Balta is located in the Chui region on the northern slopes of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too and their capital city, Bishkek is only 62km far.

The number of the participating boxers was 129 from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the event supported the decision makers to select the bests in this age group.

Boxers who were born in 2011 and in 2012 were eligible to participate in the Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships.

Dzhalal-Abad region’s Aziretali Sanzharbekov bagged the first title in the national event, he had a close success over Talas region’s defending champion in this age group, the ASBC competitor Sanzhar Aybashbekov at the 33kg final bout.

Osh region’s Aybek Akramov bagged a silver medal in the 2024 edition of the Kyrgyz Schoolboys National Championships and he repeated that performance once again after losing his second final against Talas region’s Arsen Zhorobayev.

Another strong talent from the Talas region, Tashkul Amangeldiyev won the schoolboys national title in 2024 and he moved up only one weight to the 37kg in the previous half year. The Asian Schoolboys Championships bronze medallist Amangeldiyev was too smart for Bishkek’s Kalen Akmatov in the final of the weight class.

The 43kg weight class was the most crowded with the participation of 16 boxers and a boxer from the Dzhalal-Abad region, Kubanych Bolushov was the best following his four dominant triumphs in Kara-Balta.

Issyk-Kul region’s Aidar Musayev also won four bouts in the national event and he defeated Umid Yunusov for the title of the 46kg weight class. Batken region’s Danilbek Mamazhusupov was also dominant in this national event, he stopped all of his rivals at the 49kg weight class before the final gong.

A local talent, the Chui region’s Arseniy Kosobokov delighted the crowd with his success over Akbar Dyikanbayev at the 52kg. Elzar Anarbekov (55kg), Aydar Asambayev (58kg) and the 12-year-old Mukhammad Burkhanov (61kg) had difficult jobs in their final contests.

Chui region’s Rauf Chishiza (64kg) and the Issyk-Kul region’s Ariyet Beyshenbekov (67kg) had enough routine to win all of their contests in the opening national event of the year.

Vadim Chirkov achieved a bronze medal at the 70kg weight class in the last edition of the Kyrgyz Schoolboys National Championships last June. The Chui region’s boxer moved up to the +70kg and he demonstrated his power against Nurel Beyshenaliyev in their final.
