The final line-ups are revealed at the Kazakhstan Elite National Championships

The final line-ups are confirmed at the Kazakhstan Elite National Championships in the city of Karagandy on Day6.

Karagandy hosts usually the Galym Zharylgapov Memorial Tournament in the month of December but the regional federation supported to arrange the Kazakhstan Elite National Championships as one of the last events of the year.

The Kazakh elite boxers impressed in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships earning several titles in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Their boxers also achieved medals in the recent Paris Olympic Games earlier this summer.

Nazym Kyzaibay enjoyed her second contest in the National Championships and she became the first female finalist in Karagandy after beating Anel Kudaybergen by RSC in the second round. The 31-year-old Olympics bronze medallist will now meet Kyzyl-Orda region’s Akbota Bolat for the title of the championships.

Another national team member, Alua Balkybekova also won her semi-final bout by RSC over Gulnaz Buribayeva and she will meet Gulnar Turapbay for the light flyweight (50kg) title. The veteran Zhaina Shekerbekova eliminated Symbat Aliaskar in the semi-finals of the bantamweight (54kg) and she can test her speed against a teenager, Elina Bazarova as next.

The Paris Olympian and the ASBC Asian Champion Karina Ibragimova outpointed Shakhnaz Issayeva in the semi-finals of the featherweight (57kg) and she needs only one further step to be crowned against Aydana Zabynbekova. Astana’s Rimma Volosenko was too strong for Gulzhaina Ubbiniyazova and she has the strong chance to win her next national title at the women’s lightweight (60kg).

Two youngsters will meet for the title of the women’s welterweight (66kg), Zhasmin Kizatova and the ASBC Asian Youth Champion Uldana Taubay. The former World Champion Valentina Khalzova was confident once again and defeated Anastasia Rylina at the women’s middleweight (75kg). The dream final at the women’s heavyweight (+81kg) was realized between Dina Islambekova and the former World Champion Lazzat Kungeibayeva.

Following Temirtas Zhussupov’s semi-final success at the minimumweight (48kg), the Asian silver medallist Daniyal Sabit marched as first to the final of the flyweight (51kg) where he will now meet Bekzat Aldamzharov. Baglan Kenzhibek caused a surprise at the bantamweight (54kg) with his success over Zhandaulet Sarsenbayev in the semi-final.

Pavlodar region’s Yerbolat Sabyr was the favourite against Daulet Moldashev but he suffered a loss in this featherweight (57kg) semi-final therefore the latter will now meet Assylzhan Serikbay for the gold medal. The best possible final line-ups also accomplished at the men’s lightweight (60kg) where Serik Temirzhanov will now face Talgat Syrymbetov.

Zhandos Kydyraliyev won one of the tightest semi-finals in the session against Almat Abduali therefore he has the chance to meet the Asian Games competitor Yertugan Zeinullinov. The teenage superstar Torekhan Sabyrkhan also managed his pathway to the final at the welterweight (67kg) against Yelnur Suyunbay and he needs to only one last step to get his first Elite National title against Sanatali Toltayev.

Sabyrzhan Akkalykov, the ASBC Asian U22 Champion, is the new star at the light middleweight (71kg) who will now meet for the gold medal Farrukh Tokhtasynov. The Youth World silver medallist Daulet Tulemissov can prepares to his first elite final against Azamat Bektas following their successes over Ilyar Ashirov and Mikhail Kokhanchik.

Karagandy region’s promising Nurmagomed Yusupov gave in everything in his heavyweight (92kg) quarter-final and he eliminated Almaty’s Madi Amirov in his key semi-final bout and he reached his career highlight. Turkestan region’s Nurlan Saparbay returned to the national events in upgraded skills and he will be boxing for the title with Daniyal Saparbay at the super heavyweight (+92kg) final.
