The Asian Champion Enkh-Amar Kharkhuu will be the most experienced in the Mongolian elite team in Chiang Mai

Mongolia announced its final travelling team to the next major championship of the year where their boxers are aiming for medals. The Mongolians will send nine boxers to the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships which will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from November 28 and will be lasting until December 12.
One of the boxing powers in our continent, Mongolia impressed in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Amman and their boxers earned two quotas as well for the Paris Olympic Games.
Mr. Yerkin Jamantai, the former Olympian boxer Mr. Davaatseren Tseyen-Oidov and Mr. Bat-Ochir Ayurzana will be the team coaches in Chiang Mai and their management selected the national team to this important competition.
Mongolia has excellent women’s boxing life, their girls are growing permanently and their young Altanbyek Khulan received the right to compete at the light flyweight (50kg) in Chiang Mai. The 22-year-old boxer competed in all of the main national events in the recent seven years and she is aiming for her first Asian medal.
Another Mongolian female boxer, the strong Mungunsaran Balsan joined the national team in 2017 and she competed in various events. She participated already in the 1st edition of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Bangkok six years ago and she has the experience from the World and Asian elite events as well.
Another 22-year-old female talent, Badmaarag Ganzorig, joined the elite national team in 2021 and her main career highlight is a silver medal from the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok.
Davaadorj Lkhagvadorj will represent Mongolia at the men’s flyweight (51kg) in Chiang Mai following his excellent national results. Enkhsaikhan Oyun-Erdene turned 19 only this September but he competed in the youth events in Asia and he could be a new sensation at the men’s bantamweight (54kg).
Lundaa Gantumur is a promising boxer at the featherweight (57kg), he claimed a bronze in 2022 and the 23-year-old talent received the right to represent Mongolia once again in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
The 2021 ASBC Asian Elite Champion and former Olympian Enkh-Amar Kharkhuu moved up to the lightweight (60kg) for this event and the 32-year-old veteran is the ace of their current national team. Mongolia’s light middleweight (71kg) No.1., Byamba-Erdene Otgonbaatar is member of the national team since 2016. Byeknur Khali moved back to the heavyweight (92kg) to this event and the Kazakh-descent boxer will have the chance to get a medal in Chiang Mai.
