ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira has a new role in the Olympic Council of Asia
The Olympic Council of Asia elected new members to their official Committees and Thailand’s and our continent’s leading boxing official, Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira was involved as Standing Committee IF/AF Relations.
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira has an active role in the Olympic Council of Asia besides to his duties in the Thailand National Olympic Committee to support all of the IOC’s programs.
The 44th OCA General Assembly was held in New Delhi, India on September 8 and important decisions have been made to develop the Olympic movement.
Mr. H.E. Raja Randhir Singh, the OCA President nominated the members for various Committees of the Olympic Council of Asia during the General Assembly and all of the members have been informed this week.
The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira and the whole ASBC Management congratulated to Mr. H.E. Raja Randhir Singh following the experienced Indian official was elected as the President of the Olympic Council of Asia during their 44th General Assembly two months ago.
Ten officials were named to the Olympic Council of Asia’s Standing Committee IF/AF Relations and their chair will be Mr. Mohammed Tayyab Ikram of Macau. ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira was announced as official member of this OCA Committee in the terms of 2024-2028.
The Asian Youth Games will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan next year and the Southeast Asian Games is also scheduled to take place in 2025.
The Olympic Council of Asia’s most important event, the new edition of the Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4 in 2026. The boxing event of the 2026 Asian Games will be held in the Nishio City General Gymnasium in Japan and its capacity has 2900 seats.
