Zeng Weimei, Dina Shanatibieke, Alimire Abudureyimu and Bao Ziyi were the stars of the Chinese Women’s Youth National Championships
The Chinese Women’s Youth National Championships featured in the city of Daixian in Shanxi province and twelve excellent boxers claimed their titles.
China’s new international event, the 2nd Belt & Road International Youth Boxing Festival took place in Khorgos City and in Urumqi earlier this year. The strong boxing country is planning to increase the focus on their next generations in the upcoming years.
A youth female boxer from the Chinese youth national team, Zeng Weimei won the first title of the entire national event, she defeated Fan Huizhi at the minimumweight (48kg) final which was a repeat match between the two promising hopes.
Xi Qiaoxian (50kg), Chen Yanfang (52kg), Yuan Mengfei (54kg), Wang Xiqi (57kg), and Wu Yuting (60kg) continued their dominancy in the national competitions following their successes in the international stage as well.
Dina Shanatibieke claimed a silver medal in the ASBC Asian Women’s Youth Boxing Championships in Astana earlier this year and she dominated the welterweight (66kg) in the national event as well. The 18-year-old talent from the Xinjiang region defeated Qiu Yuting by unanimous decision in their final meeting.
Another top female boxer from the Xinjiang region, the Youth World Champion and the Asian Youth Champion Alimire Abudureyimu used her brilliant style of boxing to win the light middleweight (70kg). She needed to do her very best against Liang Yiyuan but she managed the pathway to the gold medal in the national event as well.
Their women’s middleweight (75kg) boxer, Bao Ziyi is a fantastic talent, she is the best in the whole world in this age group. Bao controlled the first round against Wang Qian and she finished her final bout with heavy combinations in the second.
Zhang Hanyu (81kg) and Hu Junhao (+81kg) won the heaviest weight classes in Shanxi province, they defeated Zhang Ruxue and Zhang Shouyu in their finals.
