Kyrgyzstan’s Abyldayeva and Dzhumayev won their contests easily in Budva on Day2

Kyrgyzstan’s top duo as Medina Abyldayeva and Amantur Dzhumayev both won their contests easily at the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva, Montenegro today.

Afghanistan, China, DPR Korea, Hong Kong, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Palestine, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are the participating 13 Asian nations in the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships.

Altogether 73 nations and 593 boxers are participating in the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva which makes the event the biggest competition of the globe this year.

DPR Korea started the championships with two triumphs in the first competition day and their Kim Kwon Il also made his debut against Russia’s Ivan Kurbachev. Kim won several of his national competitions, Budva is his first main international challenge but he impressed in the first round. The DPR Korean minimumweight (48kg) boxer had excellent hooks in the second round and he saved fuels for the later actions as well.

Uzbekistan’s Sayfiddin Sabirov ruled the middle of the ring against Albania’s Lidjon Sulaj and he landed strong jabs in the first round. The Uzbek minimumweight (48kg) boxer caught the Albanian in the ropes of the corner with dozens of punches and due to the huge difference between the two talents, Sabirov won the battle by RSC.

Uzbekistan’s Djafarbek Shakhbazov defeated almost all of his opponents in the recent two years and he had a warm-up in his opener at the middleweight (75kg). The Uzbek landed the stronger shots from the first seconds against French Polynesia’s Manatoa Guillemet and he finished the job in the second round.

Kazakhstan’s Sanzhar-Ali Begaliyev, the defending ASBC Asian Youth Champion at the middleweight (75kg), had a tough first round against Romania’s Istvan Szucs due to his opponent’s permanent attacks. The 18-year-old Kazakh had the footwork to avoid many of the punches and he stopped Szucs with body shots in the second and third rounds to accomplish his mission today.

Kyrgyzstan’s best female boxer, the ASBC medallist Medina Abyldayeva won a top international youth tournament in Kazakhstan as well therefore she was too experienced for Czechia’s Vendula Hovorkova. The Kyrgyz featherweight (57kg) boxer destroyed her European opponent’s defence in the first round quickly and she won their meeting by large of difference.

Kazakhstan’s ASBC Asian Youth Champion Ayazhan Yermek had a competitive opponent in the preliminary round, Spain’s Noelia Vicente Gil but she managed to win their featherweight (57kg) bout. The next Kazakh female talent in action was Mariya Sidorenko who had a points decision success over Serbia’s Anastasija Boskovic.

Uzbekistan’s three-time Asian Champion Oysha Toirova had a surprise loss in Astana this May but she opened her campaign in Budva differently. The 18-year-old Uzbek was punctual in the first round against Russia’s Aleksandra Frolova and she had the advantage on the judges’ scorecards. The referee counted the Russian twice in the second round which demonstrated Toirova’s dominance in this key preliminary bout.

Kyrgyzstan’s Junior World Champion Amantur Dzhumayev is their best in the youth national team and the 17-year-old star started the first round strongly against Slovenia’s Tine Jakomini. The Chinese referee counted the Slovenian three-times in the first and second rounds and after that he confirmed Dzhumayev’s RSC triumph.

Tajikistan’s Anushervon Fazylov also won his bantamweight (54kg) contest by RSC but he needed less than two minutes to make that happen against Lesotho’s Reabetsoe Mokhitli. China’s Zhang Hanrui and Uzbekistan’s Sobirjon Tastanov both made strong debut in the championships and advanced to the last 16.
