The ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships will take place in Amman between November 28 and December 12

The team delegations’ handbook of the upcoming ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships have been issued today and all of the National Federations have been informed about the details of the competition. The competition will be held Amman, Jordan between November 28 and December 12.

The handbook contains all of the important details, the schedule, the registration information and the competition protocols. The registrations are open for all of the affiliated Asian National Federations until October 20.

The first continental event of the year, the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships took place in Astana, Kazakhstan from April 25 until May 8. The second main event of the year, the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships took place in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10.

The elite women boxers will be able to compete in the following weight categories: 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg. The elite men boxers will have the right to participate also in 13 different weight categories: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg.

Boxers who were born between 1984 and 2005 are eligible to participate in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Amman.

The first ever Asian Boxing Championships took place in Bangkok, Thailand in 1963 while Amman was the host in 2013 for the first time. The competition will return to Amman after two years of break, Jordan’s capital hosted the last edition in 2022.
