Mr. Kairat Satzhanov was appointed as the new head coach of the men’s elite national team in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan introduced its new men’s elite head coach after the relatively unsuccessful Paris Olympic Games. Their experienced Mr. Kairat Satzhanov, who has 34 years of coaching experience will lead the preparations of Team Kazakhstan in the upcoming period.
Kazakhstan’s head coach in the Asian Games, the Paris Olympics and in all of the qualification events was Mr. Myrzagali Aitzhanov. His boxers claimed one silver and one bronze medal in the Paris Olympic Games but this was the second time after Tokyo when the Central Asian boxing power travelled back to home without any titles.
Mr. Kairat Satzhanov worked as the head coach of the junior national team between 2011 and 2019 and during this period his boxers won the team rankings at the 2013 and 2017 editions of the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and two-times the Children of Asia Games in 2012 and in 2016. The Kazakh junior teams were in the Top3 at the 2013 and 2015 Junior World Boxing Championships as well.
He was appointed as the head coach of the youth national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the beginning of 2019. His youth team amazed in the 2019 and 2021 editions of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Mongolia and in the United Arab Emirates. Besides to the successes in Asia as a top team, his best youth boxers ranked as No.2 in the 2021 Youth World Boxing Championships in Kielce, Poland.
Following the Tokyo Olympics, Mr. Kairat Satzhanov replaced Mr. Galymbek Kenzhebayev as the head coach of the men’s elite national team. His boxers immediately claimed five medals including two titles at the 2021 World Boxing Championships in Belgrade and the Kazakhs ranked as No.2 in the 2022 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
He hold the position with the Kazakh elite national team until January 2023 and he received the chance once again to sail the country’s boxing into the right directions.
