Baratakhunov and Shar were the stars at the Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships

The Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships took place later in their capital city in Bishkek and fifteen champions have been crowned.  

Erbol Baratakhunov was named as the Best Boxer of the Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships while Umar Bakytbekov was the Best Loser in the finals.

Mr. Dzhumar Khunlov was awarded the Best Coach trophy, Mr. Kubanychbek Dzhanseitov received the Best Referee & Judge award.

The competition was held for the 2010 and 2011 born boxers in the Kozhomkul Sports Complex in Bishkek. Altogether 164 boxers competed in the Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Championships from all regions of the country and 26 referees and judges worked in the competition.

The Kyrgyzstan Schoolboys National Boxing Championships was named by their famous coach and Master of Sports of the USSR, Mr. Vladimir Roslov who built up generations of boxers in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Kyrgyz Schoolboys National Championships was a selection for the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls National Championships which is scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE from August 21.

Talas region’s Sanzhar Aybashbekov became the first winner in the Schoolboys Nationals, he defeated Aibek Akramov at the 33kg weight class. The 35kg is the first official ASBC schoolboys category and the gold medal was achieved by another boxer from Talas region, Tashkul Amangeldiyev.

Ariyet Sanzharbekov switched his last year’s bronze medal into gold in the new edition following his success over Daniyar Avasbekov at the 40kg final.

Muslim Pansher is Alim’s younger brother who claimed a gold at the 2023 Kyrgyz Schoolboys National Championships. Muslim continued the family traditions and the Chui region’s talent won his final bout at the 43kg weight class against Umar Altymyshov.

Chui region’s hard-working boxer, Erbol Baratakhunov controlled all of his contests including his final bout at the 49kg division against Timur Alimbekov. Bishkek’s strong Rizvan Isayev and Osh’s Umar Baktybekov produced the best final in the Nationals and the first became the winner in this exciting meeting.

Chui region’s Kamil Shar was the only 14-year-old boxer in the Kyrgyz Schoolboys National Championships who defended his throne after the 2023 edition. Nazarbay Kendirbayev was bronze medallist in the last edition and he moved up to the +70kg weight class successfully, taking a gold medal in Bishkek.
