The Technical Meeting of the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event confirmed the participation of 579 boxers from 133 countries

The Technical Meeting of the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event took place in Bangkok, Thailand in the Alexander Hotel which was the venue also of several of the previous Asian Boxing Championships as well.

Altogether 579 boxers from 133 countries are participating in the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event in Bangkok where the total number of the available quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympics is 51. The number of the coaches, officials and team delegations members is 610 in Thailand.

The first competition day is May 24 and without any rest day, the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event will last until June 2. The total number of bouts will be 542 in the event and two competition rings are used in the busy schedule.

The afternoon session will start at 13:00 in the Huamark Indoor Stadium every day while the evening session will begin at 18:30 local time between May 24 and June 2. The venue will open two hours before the start of each session.

The Referee & Judge Evaluation is a key factor in the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event to make a fair play for all boxers. No seeding procedures will be in place during the event and there are not any bout reviews in Bangkok.

The Thai LOC will provide all of the equipment as gloves, headguards and bandages during the whole competition. The Technical Meeting confirmed the transportation, communication and other competition related topics in the Alexander Hotel.

The Technical Delegate of the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event Ms. Anna Laukkanen, the Head of the Paris Boxing Unit Mr. Breno Pontes and the LOC Chairman Mr. Kraitach Kaewkate led the meeting in Bangkok.
