Fifteen days left until the start of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships

Fifteen days left until the start of the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships which will be the second continental event after the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships. The U22 event opened the year in Bangkok and the second ASBC Championships will also deliver the highest level of boxing.

The new edition of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan between October 21 and November 4. Following the Asian Games, the best youth and junior talents are able to show their skills and boxing knowledge in the heart of Kazakhstan.

The seven official documents for the quicker sport entries check have been sent to all of the National Federations yesterday. It contains the anti-doping consent form, the declaration of non-pregnancy form, the fit to box form, the image rights content form, the medical certificate form, the code of conduct and the technical video recording agreement form.

After the registration process, 28 countries are planning to send boxers to the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships from all of the regions of the continent. Several of the developing boxing countries will join the championships in Astana.

The boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 are eligible to participate in the youth part of the championships. The younger generation members from the 2007 and the 2008 age groups will be able to fight for the junior titles in Astana.

The Kazakhstan Boxing Federation hosted Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Shymkent in 2013 and the Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar seven years ago. Their last international competition was the Elorda Cup this summer which was hosted in their capital city, in Astana.

The city of Astana hosted the 2011 Cadet World Boxing Championships, the 2012 Asian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event, several rounds in the previous World Series of Boxing and the 2016 Women’s World Boxing Championships. Astana will be also the host of the 2024 Women’s World Boxing Championships.
