Kazakhstan bagged five junior titles in the Moldavian Belt Tournament

The Moldavian Belt Youth & Junior Tournament finished in the city of Iasi, Romania where the Kazakh talents amazed the experts once again. Kazakhstan claimed five out of the thirteen titles in the men’s junior finals in Iasi making a strong impact in the event.

The management of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation sent their 15 and 16-year-old talents to the Moldavian Belt Tournament to use the event as active preparations before the start of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The continental event will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan starting from October 21.

Kazakhstan’s Aldiyar Bakhadur claimed their first gold medal in Iasi, he defeated his teammate, Zufar Saifutdinov which was an important selection meeting between them before the Asian Junior Championships.

Bauyrzhan Muratov and Nurassyl Tulebek marched to the finals of the bantamweight (54kg) and the first won the title in this strong international event. Another Kazakh finals took place at the light middleweight (70kg) in Romania where Zhassulan Berdaly won the title bout over Igor Solovyev by 3:2 split decision.

Kazakhstan’s promising Tagir Satayev earned gold medals in several competition this year and the 16-year-old talent continued his winning path in Iasi as well. The light welterweight (63kg) boxer used the best tactics against Italy’s Christian Sinagra and he won the title of the weight class.

Bakytzhan Aitmukhanov moved up to the light heavyweight (80kg) this year and he won his last two major competitions in the previous months. The 16-year-old Kazakh not only marched to the finals of the category but he smashed Italy’s Santo Christian Ielo with heavy shots therefore the referee stopped their contest.

Nygmet Nygman (46kg), Nurassyl Ongarbay (52kg), and the Heydar Aliyev Junior Cup silver medallist Beksultan Kairatuly (+80kg) were the further silver medallists of the Kazakh team in the Moldavian Belt Tournament where Italy, Spain, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia and Moldova were the further key nations.
