Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Japan train together in Yangiabad for the upcoming Asian Games

Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Japan train together for the upcoming Asian Games which will be held in Hangzhou, China in two months. The training camp opened in Uzbekistan on July 5 and to be continued until July 20 supporting the joint preparations with sparring, physical and technical trainings.

The Yangiabad Sports Base is the venue of the joint training camp and Russia also joined the preparations strengthening the level of the event. Several strong nations used the fantastic training venue in Angren in the recent years including all of the top boxing countries in the whole globe.

Vietnam’s boxing team stays in Uzbekistan a bit longer, from July 8 until August 5 which is part of their next phase of preparations for the upcoming Asian Games. Vietnam’s delegations contains 14 persons including 10 boxers, the Uzbek coach Mr. Bakhodir Erkayev and their team will use this fantastic opportunity to prepare well to the Games.

Japan arrived to Yangiabad with their best possible line-ups including their participants in the upcoming Asian Games. Their 2021 World Champion Sewon Okazawa is one of the stars of the men’s light middleweight (71kg) who has strong sparring partners in the training camp in the mountainous Yangiabad.

Team Vietnam will be attending also in a competition during their stay in Uzbekistan, at the Khokim Mayor Cup of the Region at the Samo Sports Complex in the city of Ferghana. The competition will be held for the women boxers in the Uzbek city on July 25-30.

Some of Uzbekistan top boxers competed in Phuket during the training camp and all of their three stars won their contests in Thailand. Uzbekistan is aiming for several Olympic spots in the upcoming Asian Games in China but Japan and Vietnam also have the objectives to get tickets for Paris 2024.
