Boxing Federation of India invites the National Federations to an elite training camp to Patiala which will start on July 28
The Boxing Federation of India confirmed the date and the venue of their new international female and male elite training camp in order the preparation for the Asian Games. The multi-national combined elite training camp will be held in Patiala, Punjab state from July 28 until August 6 and it is open for all of the National Federations.
The city of Patiala is a city in southeastern Punjab, northwestern India and the administrative capital of the Patiala district. The distance between India’s capital and Patiala is only 268km and reachable through the Delhi International Airport. Patiala hosted several Indian national events in the recent years and have the excellent facilities for a joint training camp.
The management of Boxing Federation of India will bear the cost of six female, seven male boxers, four coaches and four support staff members per delegations. The local organizers will charge any extra member accompanied by the sending team. Boxing Federation of India will provide also the free local transportation, while the participating teams have to cover their air tickets and visa costs on their own.
The Boxing Federation of India hosted an international youth training camp with great success a few weeks ago. The Indian youth coaches selected 99 talents for the youth training camp and many of them have already medals from major international competitions. Uzbekistan, host India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan trained together in this international youth camp, which was a preparation for the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships.
Boxing Federation of India, the REC Limited, the REC Foundation and the Sports Authority of India will be sponsoring this international training camp.
