Mr. Denis Kolesnik is the Instructor of the Cutman Course in Bangkok where applicants arrived from three Confederations

Next to the 2-star Referee & Judge Course, the ITO Course, a third educational program is underway at the SC Park Hotel during the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok, Thailand. The Cutman Course was open for the interested officials who affiliated with one of the National Federations.

The IBA and the ASBC management decided to arrange as many educational programs as possible during the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships to increase the level of the knowledge of the future officials. The ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira visited the sessions of the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships and supported all of the Courses in Bangkok to develop all aspects of boxing in Asia.

Thailand’s capital hosted its first Cutman Course still in 2015 during the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships and after eight years of break, this project returned to Bangkok. The IBA Cutman Course is holding in Bangkok, Thailand on January 17-22. The language of the theoretical and practical sessions of the IBA Cutman Course is English and Mr. Denis Kolesnik is the Instructor in Bangkok.  

All of the participants must have basic knowledge of how cut technicians work in the international boxing events. Their participation had to be approved and referred by one of the National Federations and the course was open for all of the five Confederations’ members. Participants arrived from three Confederations, from Oceania, Asia and Europe.

The third eligibility criteria to attend in the Course was that the applicant must not be suspended for a breach of the Constitution, Regulations of IBA or the sending National Federation as well as for the anti-doping rules. After the successful examinations, the participants will receive their Cutman Certificates and will be able to work in all of the major championships in the future.
