Veteran officials Caulfield and Szalma lead R&J Course in Tashkent

Seasoned international technical officials Andrew Caulfield of Scotland and Zoltan Szalma of Hungary spearheaded the Refereeing & Judging Course held in connection with the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships 2022 in Tashkent.

Mr. Caulfield led the theoretical part of the course as the Instructor while Szalma imparted his knowledge to the participating local referees and judges.

The Uzbek national R&Js who pass the examinations will earn the 1-star Referee & Judge position.

Mr. Caulfield, who recently worked as the Observer in the ASBC Asian Elite Championships in Amman, has returned to Uzbekistan to serve in the same capacity in the national tournament.

Szalma, on the other hand, is the Evaluator of the tilt. The former boxer previously worked in the Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships 2022 in Amman and Asian Elite Boxing Championships 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Uzbekistan Elite National Championships, which is one of the vital selections for the IBA Men’s and Women’s World Championships next year, features almost 300 boxers from various regions.
