ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba congratulates to Mr. Zhang Chuanliang of China who joined to the AIBA Coaches Commission

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba and the whole ASBC management congratulates to China’s Zhang Chuanliang who has been appointed as member to the newly formed AIBA Coaches Commission. The experienced boxing official has got three important positions currently in world, continental and national levels.

The President of the Chinese Boxing Federation Mr. Zhang Chuanliang produced several big champions when he was the head coach of the national team in the 2000s and in the early 2010s which calls the Golden Era of China’s boxing. His pupil, Zou Shiming became Asia’s first two-time Olympic Champion and many of his other boxers claimed important medals in the world tournaments.

China’s Mr. Zhang Chuanliang is the Chairman of the Asian Boxing Confederation’s Coaching Commission since 2019 and he led the last online meeting. Mr. Zhang arranged several national events in China last year despite of the Covid-19 pandemic and he is planning to host further tournaments in 2021.

Mr. Zhang Chuanliang approved the invitation of the Asian Boxing Confederation and he worked as panellist during the ASBC Coaches Webinar in September 2020. He introduced many important information about the development of boxing, new methods and how can train top athletes in the aspects of the coaches.
