The next edition of the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships will be held in March
The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation’s first national competition in 2021 will be the Junior National Championships which is scheduled to be held in the month of March. The Kyrgyz female and male talents are all excited to return to the national level of boxing which could be their first highlight this year.
Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 are eligible to attend in the upcoming Kyrgyz Junior National Championships. The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation works for the development of women’s boxing and their female hopes are planning to attend in the national event. All of the regions and cities have been invited to attend in the Kyrgyz Junior National Championships where additional weight categories also will be taking place in March.
The Kyrgyz Junior National Championships will be a preparation event before the main goals of the year as the planned Children of Asia Games which is postponed from 2020. There will be several other international events for the junior boxers in 2021 according to the current plans including tournaments in Kazakhstan, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Serbia and other nations.
The Kyrgyz junior team attended in a training camp in Cholpon-Ata to build up the strength and physical skills of the boxers in August 2020. Cholpon-Ata is located in the northern shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake and famous of its resorts and beautiful environments. Altogether eleven young boxers prepared for the later actions in Cholpon-Ata including medallists from the 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and other strong boxers.
Mr. Kenzhebek Musakunov the famous coach from Bishkek arranged the training camp and all the schedules and programs in Cholpon-Ata. Mr. Musakunov led the Kyrgyz national team at the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships where their boxers claimed several medals in the United Arab Emirates.
The 2005-2006 age group is strong in Kyrgyzstan which they proved at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships. Bekzat Ergeshov, Amangeldi Maksutov and Atay Asanbekov claimed silver medals in the Kuwait event in 2019. All of them are at the junior age group now together with Schoolboys National Championships silver medallist 15-year-old Adilet Kachkynbekov, Bektur Turdubayev and many others.
The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation hosted a Schoolboys Tournament of the 31st Anniversary of the Withdrawal of the Troops from Afghanistan in 2020 and many of those winners can also attend at the upcoming Junior National Championships. The local organizers divided the participants into two groups in the smallest five weight classes due to the high number of participants. Kyrgyzstan’s Osh-based Iskhak Bazarbayev became the Best Boxer of this Schoolboys Tournament in Tokmak.
