Afghanistan Boxing Federation hosted its important National Referee & Judge Workshop in Kabul

The Afghanistan Boxing Federation arranged an educational course in the capital city in Kabul to develop the knowledge of their coaches and referees and judges. This was Afghanistan Boxing Federation’s first scientific Referee & Judge Workshop which ever hosted in Kabul.

Afghanistan Boxing Federation’s most experienced instructor Mr. Abdul Hai Azizpour arranged the workshop and the education program. Altogether 30 participants attended in the workshop to understand the rules of the Afghanistan National Series of Boxing which is a new league for the boxers.

The workshop was also a promotion for the Afghanistan National Series of Boxing and the first introduction for the officials, referees and coaches. Besides to Kabul’s best teams, several of the provinces squads will be attending the Afghanistan National Series of Boxing with the support of the President of the Afghanistan Boxing Federation Mr. Abdullah Sattari.  

Afghanistan was able to organize several boxing competitions in the recent months including the Hameed Hameedi Memorial Tournament and all of their National Championships. Their national event for the schoolboys and juniors delivered high level of boxing while their Elite National Championships was live streamed at the very first time.

Afghanistan Boxing Federation launched long-term strategies in 2017 and the country’s management are following it step by step. The number of boxers in the country exceeded all of the previous levels and our sport is seriously popular in Afghanistan. The new generation of Afghan boxers claimed two bronze medals in the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships.
