Former Asian Games winner veteran Jakhon Qurbonov advanced to the semi-finals at the Tajikistan Elite National Boxing Championships

The Tajikistan Elite National Boxing Championships is the only running competition in the whole Asian continent which turned to its semi-final stage after the preliminaries and quarter-finals. Tajikistan’s former Asian Games winner and two-time Olympian Jakhon Qurbonov returned to the world of boxing and advanced to the semi-finals of the super heavyweight (+91kg) in Dushanbe.

There are not any Covid-19 Coronavirus infections in Tajikistan therefore their National Federation did not stop their planned national events. Boxers who were born between 1980 and 2001 are eligible to attend in the Tajikistan Elite National Boxing Championships which is their next selection competition for the later international actions.
